Over 100,000 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Spain, the Spanish Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Services said on Monday.
According to the daily figures published by the ministry, 100,875 patients have beaten the virus, an increase of 2,144 over the last 24 hours.
Up to 23,521 people have died from the coronavirus in Spain, the ministry said, adding that it registered 331 deaths in the 24-hour period until 9.00 p.m. local time (1900 GMT) on Sunday.

Meanwhile, 1,831 new cases of COVID-19 were detected by PCR tests, which discover if the coronavirus is active in the body, taking the total number of cases detected by this method to 209,465.
This is slightly more than the 1,729 new cases reported on Sunday, but the daily increase in new cases remains lower than one per cent.
On Sunday, the Madrid regional government announced that the falling infection rate means that a field hospital will close on May 1.
The field hospital opened on March 22, at the IFEMA Exhibition Centre with a capacity to care for 5,500 patients. (Xinhua/NAN)
