Also, a letter detailing how Mr Malamai demanded the payment of nine million naira spent during his relationship with Ms Abdullahi went viral on Monday.

In the letter dated May 22, which was obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA, his lawyer, Wangida Isa accused Ms Abdullahi of breach of trust and deceit, listing the expenses they want repaid.

However, in a telephone interview with POLITICS NIGERIA on Monday, Mr Isa announced that a case has been filed in court against Ms Abdullahi upon the expiration of the seven-day ultimatum issued.
Mr Isa confirmed writing the letter but denied releasing the viral letter on social media.

“I was not responsible for the disclosure of the letter on social media. It is unethical of me as a lawyer. I don’t know how the letter got to the social media. I served the letter in her father’s house.”

“Based on Islamic law and our client was not the one who breached the relationship, she should pay back all the money spent on her. So we are yet to receive any formal response.”

“We gave her seven days and the seven days is over. Unofficially, I can attest that we have taken a legal action. She is yet to be served the writ of summon,” he noted.
