BREAKING: Kumawood Actor-Bishop Benard Nyarko is Dead


Information reaching TheBBCghana.com has it that celebrated Kumawood actor has parted ways with the living just this evening, May 2, 2020.

It could be recalled that the above-mentioned actor has been battling with acute illness for the past years which resulted in a lot of family mess till his last breath.

Late last year, Big Akwes and some other Kumawood actors and actresses who went on live radio, made it emphatic that although they all know Bishop Nyarko is sick and needs help, his mother has hidden her son and not allowing anyone to him for obvious reasons.

Covid-19 Lockdown: 6 Nigerians fined over N900K Each for Attending a Birthday party in Ghana




A circuit court in Ghana has fined six Nigerians around $2,500 (over N900,000) each for attending a birthday party last Saturday in the capital, Accra, in violation of the lockdown imposed in the country.
Gatherings were banned under a three-week lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus which has now been partially lifted in the country.
According to reports in Ghana media, the convicted persons were Amadi Mine, Aboy-Iyen Precious, Marshal Ovieshare, Godsway Fejiro, Eliot Sharker, and David Amos.
The six pleaded guilty and the court fined them, saying if they could not pay, they risk prison term of five years each.
According to prosecutors, the six were part of a group of about 50 people who attended the said party on Saturday, April 18.
The police, upon a tip-off, stormed the venue and arrested the six people. According to the police, the convicts breached the restriction orders imposed by the president.
The court presided by Efia Owusua Appiah in handing them her judgment indicated that her decision was to serve as a deterrent to other people.

Heavy ‘Ice block’ rain falls in Kumasi, Ghana



“Ice Block” rain has fallen in Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi today 20th April 2020.

Ice pellets as it’s rightfully called rained ‘cat and dog’ in the Capital city making residents step out and take photos of it.
A woman who had come into her corridor to pick up the particles of ‘ice blocks’ with her children told Ultimate News, this was the first time in over twenty years she witnessed anything of the sort.

She said, "I remember seeing things like this when I was young probably about ten years old. I came out when I heard the bangs on the roofs. I brought my children out to observe it because they have also not seen this before,” she told reporter Ivan Heathcote – Fumador.
