Breaking: Covid-19 Scare in Tanke Ilorin, As Response Team Evacuates Suspect

A boy was pick up last night in Oko odo, Tanke by NCDC Kwara State for showing symptoms of Covid-19, please if you stay at Oke Odo axis take all necessary precautions if you'd go out.

Representatives of the covid 19 response team yesterday night around 11:30pm evacuated a covid 19 suspect from Oke-Odo, Tanke area of Ilorin metropolis.

According to the video done by an eyewitness which was exclusively obtained by Fresh Insight, the suspect is said to be a young Hausa resident of the area, who was picked up with covid 19 response team ambulance, after persistent calls by neighbours.

With the official announcement of 5 more people in Kwara testing positive to corona virus, Fresh Insight can exclusive relay insight into the details of the new patients.

According to multiple sources, the results which came in earlier today returned 5 positive verdicts and some others coming out negative.

"All the 5 new cases contacted the virus locally which we refer to as community transfer as they had no recent foreign trips, but had contacts with either confirmed or suspected covid 19 patients and that was why they were tested in the first place.

"The 5 new cases are all caregivers and workers at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin Kwara State" he stressed.

Giving Fresh Insight TV further breakdown, he said "We have 4  Doctors and a Nurse who were all infected while attending to suspected carriers as health workers", now another round of contact tracing have begun while wee await more tests tomorrow" he stressed.

With this new tally, it brings the number of confirmed positive cases in Kwara to 9, while 2 had fully recovered and discharged.

A total number of 128 people have so far been tested out if which 87 returned negative, 32 results are still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.
