Madagascar's Covid-19 Herbal Cure Arrives Chad
Reports shows that Chad has received Madagascar's Cure for Covid-19 as an help to save fellow Africans of the deadly disease.
Report states that, “With respect to Covid Organics, Madagascar is with his African brothers to heal and save lives. Our duty is to preserve the health of our people”
“Chad sent a plane to collect CVO donations.
The consignment is a donation from the Malagasy government to Chad as has been the case with previous donations sent to Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau (reportedly on behalf of ECOWAS, which the bloc has denied ordering for and or endorsing).
Tanzania, the Congos Republic, Democratic Republic; have all been served the medication which till date is yet to be scientifically tested and or certified by any independent medical outfit.

ECOWAS Accept Madagascar Cure For Coronavirus
ECOWAS package of the CVO medicine en route to the 15 West African states. The package was received by a delegation of Guinea Bissau, on behalf of the ECOWAS states.
Guinea Bissau received a consignment of Covid-Organics, the Malagasy herbal tea touted as having preventive and curative abilities for COVID-19.
A government delegation returned to Bissau with the medication after receiving the consignment in Antananarivo on May 1. It was received by President Umaro Sissoco Embalo.
The president said at the ceremony: “This donation part of the fight against the global pandemic called COVID-19. I would like to say that with this, Guinea-Bissau will be seen as a different kind of nation.
“It will be seen as a country that still has good people. And today, the world will talk about Guinea-Bissau,” he added.
The president of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina (the youngest president in Africa) in his speech to the delegation said “If today we want to leave a new Africa to our children, it is we, Heads of States of the continent, who must commit ourselves to change the course of history and the lives of our fellow citizens. Let us act for the care of our peoples. Union is stronger than division.”
Yesterday, a virtual meeting of some 10 African leaders were held to discuss, among other things, the effectiveness of using the CVO medicine in treating covid-19 patients in Africa.
This is a strong step in ending over dependence on foreign aids and support. We are capable of innovations when united. This should be a great lesson to our leaders going forward.
According to Embalo’s chief of staff, Califa Soares Cassama, 14 other members of the regional ECOWAS bloc are waiting for what many consider to be the “magic COVID-19 mixture.”
During the ceremony in Madagascar, President Rajoelina intimated that the donation was for countries across the region. The tonnage and type of COVID-Organics remains unknown.
The packages received by head of the Guinean delegation were branded with flags of different ECOWAS nations. Rajoelina also thanked Embalo for accepting to distribute the consignment to neighbouring countries. ECOWAS secretariat has yet to speak on the issue.
As of May 3: donations have been officially made to Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Comoros have all publicly expressed interest in receiving donations.
President Rajoelina has also spoken to leaders of Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, with both peers lauding the Malagasy effort.
Meanwhile, the Africa Centers for Disease Control, Africa CDC, last week confirmed that treatment trials are underway across five African countries but did not mention the Malagasy ‘cure.’

Nobody Asked US For Compensation Over 2009 Flu — Chinese Embassy Fires Back At Oby Ezekwesili
The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria has lashed out at former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili after she demanded for compensation from China over the Coronavirus pandemic.
Oby Ezekwesili had stated that Africa must be “accorded damages and liability compensation from China, the rich and powerful country that failed to transparently and effectively manage this global catastrophe”.
The press secretary of the Chinese embassy in Nigeria, Sun Saixiong who reacted to Oby Ezekwesili’s demand stated that it makes no sense at all.
Siaxiong who wondered why no one demanded for compensations for the 2009 H1N1 flu which killed nearly 200,000 people after being first diagnosed in the US, stated that Coronavirus is a common enemy to all mankind and may strike anytime, anywhere. He also said that AIDS was first reported in the US in the 1980s and then swept across the world, including Africa, causing untold sufferings to countless victims.
The statement published on The Guardian reads;
It is noticed that The Guardian reported (April 18th) the Op-ed by Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili, China Must Pay Reparations to Africa for its Coronavirus Failures, first published on The Washington Post, April 16th edition.
The remarks of Mrs. Ezekwesili in the Op-ed make no sense at all.
We must know that, since the outbreak of COVID-19, in an open, transparent and responsible spirit, China has taken the most comprehensive, rigorous and thorough measures to contain its spread and conduct international cooperation. In this process, China has made tremendous sacrifices, accumulated valuable experience, and made significant contributions to the global response. The international community bears witness to and applauds China’s efforts and progress.
The virus is a common enemy to all mankind and may strike anytime, anywhere. Like other countries, China is also a victim, not a perpetrator, even less an accomplice of COVID-19.
In the face of major public health crises and infectious diseases, the international community should stand in solidarity and work together, not resort to mutual accusation or demand retribution and accountability. As we recall, there has never been any precedence of the latter.
Did anyone ask the US to offer compensations for the 2009 H1N1 flu, which was first diagnosed before breaking out on a large scale in the US and then spread to 214 countries and regions, killing nearly 200,000 people? AIDS was first reported in the US in the 1980s and then swept across the world, including Africa, causing untold sufferings to countless victims. And we don’t remember Mrs. Ezekwesili coming forward to ask the US to be held accountable? The financial turmoil in the US triggered by the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008 turned into a global financial crisis. Did anyone ask the US to take the consequences?
We must understand that our enemy is the virus, not China. The international community can only defeat the virus by pulling together. Attacking and discrediting others will not save time and lives lost. We hope that Mrs. Ezekwesili will respect facts, science, and international consensus, stop letting herself dance to other’s tune, stop attacking and blaming China for nothing, and stop making irresponsible remarks.
